Books in a series

Yesterday I mentioned how much I enjoyed the book Airborn. So much so that I checked out the sequel Skybreaker. I haven’t had time to begin it yet but I am curious to see how the stories connect and where the adventure goes next.

Do you prefer reading books in a series? Tell me why. I have a few ideas but I would like to hear from student readers. What are some of your favorites?

  1. i’ve only read one book in a series, and that was a very sad book but series are cool if it’s a book you like a lot, like the book I read was called “A child called it”, it was really sad and it had a sequel which i read like half of it and then stopped because it wasn’t as intresting as the first

  2. I just got finished with “Specials”, the third book of the “Uglies” series. I absolutely loved it! When I started to read it I just could not put it down! Books in a series are cool if it is a really good series because then there are lots of books to read. I just hate when i read a relly good book and theres no sequel.

  4. i like the series The Children of The Lamp. the books are fun because if you like one, you will probably like the other. I like them also because some books are just too short and you wish they’d never end. What are some other good books in a series like that?

ps: I like the book blog when I have time to use my mom’s computer!!! Gaggle is cool too….
