I like the shelf displays because they stick out. I saw a pretty boring looking book on display, and it turned out to be a great book. They also put new books on display. They will have car books on race cars and trucks. It also shows you what other people like to read.

I think displays should be bright, to attract people who might not have even known they were there. They should also have the section name big so people can tell what section it is. Displays should be easy to read and see so people don’t get lost in the library.

I really like putting up a display because you get to put out books that you like and basically recommend them to other people. It’s really helpful to me when I walk into a library to see some books suggested because I might try a book that is completely different from what I normally read. Displays also can make it a lot easier if you’re looking for a certain type of book. I know that when I am looking for a good book to read it’s very hard to find one that interests me and when a display catches my eye I always walk over to look at the books. I guess the current Dewey system is okay if you have to be the person to shelve the books but if the books were displayed in genres it would be a whole easier to find the types of books you like.

I think that displays with cool looking signs get peoples attention when they normally wouldn’t even know the book existed because its hidden somewhere on the shelf. People are always looking for a book but don’t know what kind of book if you have genres they would look in that section and find something they actually want to read not just look for the shotest easiest book they can take an AR quiz on.

Whenever I put up a display I make up creatchers like dragons,griffins and all kinds of creatchers and animals. Wnen I do the display I draw the creatcher like a dragon or an animal but I drew a dragon and my display says fire up with a dragon and fire all around. if you like creatchres like dragon’s,or any kind of creatcher or animal. if you want look my dragon I drew with colorful dragon with black,red,and strips all around him.and look for my dragon books.

Whenever I put up a display, I pick books that have to do with the category. Then find books that I have seen before that had caught my eyes and I thought had to do with the category. The thing is that alot of kids don’t go to the library unless forced to go, or they go with their class. What I want to be able to do is get a eye-catching book display up that will make those people look at what I think are good books. Just kinda shove it in their faces,so that they can see some of the books out there and maybe go to the library more often.
I’m fine with the system we have now, but that’s because I work as a library aid. I think it might be easier if the books were put in genres, but can’t be a hundred percent sure. I’m willing to try though.

whenever I make a display of certain types of books is because its what i like. The reoson i put a display up is so i can get other people who dont usually read these type of books to read them, and then they will read even more and more of ehose books. But the only way i can get those people to read the books that i chose is if they already like the type of book or if i get the readers attention by makeing a goog title of my display. and sometimes you may get people who dont read your books at all. the display might not be catchey but they still might read your books.
